Soluble Seaweed (Kelp) Powder
Our Soluble Kelp is made from Laminaria japonica Aresch. and Ecklonia kurome Okamura., the two most common members of brown algae family, are not only well-known as “longevity food,” but also as traditional Chinese herbal medicines that are used in China and other Asian countries to prevent and treat various diseases for decades. L. japonica and E. kurome are rich in iodine, alginate, fucoidan, proteins, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, dietary fibers and phlorotannins, besides having various biological activities, such as anti-coagulant, anti-oxidant, anti-tumor, anti-virus, anti-inflammatory and immune-stimulant activities. Thus, L. japonica and E. kuromehave been used widely as raw materials to develop a series of drugs, such as propylene glycol alginate sulfate sodium salt (PSS) and propylene glycol low molecular weight mannuronate sulfate sodium salt (PGMS), as well as food, for example, kelp beverage.
Seaweed(Kelp) powder is an organic storehouse of over 60 naturally occurring major and minor nutrients and amino acids.
It’s growth promoting substances (Auxins, Cytokinins, Gibberellins) enhance plant development, color, and vigor. Kelp has also been found to increase plant hardiness and resistance to adverse environmental conditions, such as early frost, extreme heat and lack of moisture.
Used as a seed inoculant, seaweed fertilizer increases and accelerates germination, and enhances the rapid development of a healthy root system.
Soluble Seaweed(Kelp) is organic and environmentally-friendly, can be used on all plants, trees, and turfs and is safe for pets, animals and children.
For best results apply during the cool part of the day or when temperatures are below 85°F. Do not spray just before or after rainfall or sprinkler irrigation. Use a mild rate of surfactant for maximum dispersal and leaf adherence
•Soil nutrients are constantly being depleted through runoff due to over farming, tilling, development etc…All of these nutrients eventually run into the oceans, without a return path. Seaweed provides a way to naturally return vital soil nutrients from the ocean back to your plants, trees and turf.
•Seaweed contains many more nutrients than Standard N-P-K fertilizers. These additional nutrients address a wider array of deficiencies.
Characteristics of Soluble seaweed (Kelp) powder:
•Organic fertilizers stimulate beneficial microbe growth.
• The organic nutrients in our organic fertilizers are naturally chelated. That makes them more bio available for plant consumption and they will remain in the soil for a much longer period.
•Seaweed fertilizers increase natural sugars (Brix) in plants and turf, making them healthier and less susceptible to disease and insect damage.
•Higher sugars (Brix) also make fruits and vegetables taste better.
•Flowers will have more plentiful and vivid colors and blooms, and these blooms will last longer.
SEAWEED APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
For smaller areas or for spot spraying, add 1.5 teaspoons of powder per gallon of water or 1 dry ounce of powder per 10 gallons of water and spray plants to the point of run-off.
Do not spray or irrigate more than once every 7 days.
Don’t add soluble seaweed powder until you know the total amount of water you will be using in your application.
Once diluted down as far as it will be, then you may add the following amounts of soluble seaweed and humate powders on a“per-gallon-of-diluted-material basis”.
Add1/2 teaspoon soluble seaweed powder in each gallon of diluted material AACT and WATER…
The above rates will provide nice results, over a couple months time, especially if these rates (whether dilutedin tea, or in water alone) are applied to both foliage and soil, every two weeks, consistently.
